Why exactly am I starting another blog? I have three other blogs here on Blogger, two of which I never update. Those two were ideas I got bored with, and the other is a book review blog. I also have a Live Journal, but that site has been annoying me lately. I probably even have a few other old unused blogs around the Net that I've forgotten about.
I decided it was time to start a new blog. I need somewhere to write random ramblings, and this seemed like the place to put it. This all ties in to my New Years resolution. I've decided I want to try and get back into writing.
Back when I was a teenager, I used to love writing. I would write goofy little short stories about a super hero called Super Hero Man. They weren't very good, but they amused my friends. After I graduated high school, I discovered how much work it was to write, and get published. Eventually I drifted away from writing. I did a little more when I eventually went to college, but I still didn't stick with it.
Now I've decided to have another go at it, but I'm way out of practice, so I decided to make a resolution to try writing something every day. To begin with, it'll be blog posts. Once I've gotten back into the habit of writing, I'll try my hand at fiction, and maybe poetry. I might post some of it here, or I might try and get it published.
Oh, and for anyone who's wondering, I have been keeping to my resolution. This may be January 3 and only the first post on this blog, but I wrote two book reviews the last two days. First was A Town Called Suckhole and then came Rico Slade Will Fucking Kill You. They are bizarro fiction books, which is what I'm leaning towards trying to write, but only time will tell if I actually manage to write anything instead of spending all my free time playing The Sims 3.
